MoodleReader reaches 1000 quizzes!

I'd like to report an important milestone for MoodleReader. We now have over 1000 quizzes (1002, to be exact) on the site!

What is MoodleReader? Basically, it is a site with quizzes that students can take to "prove" that they have read a book, which can be used instead of summaries, book reports, etc. -- a time-saver for both students and teachers. Use of the site is totally free. Both teachers and students are registered, which allows each teacher to view, printout or download progress reports for the students.

The quizzes are available for graded reader series such as the Bookworms (virtually all books available, including the FactFinders), Cambridge (Starter->Level 3), Macmillan (First 4 levels), Cengage Foundations and Footprint series (complete), Penguin (Easystart, Levels 1 & 2 virtually complete) as well some "leveled readers" for NS kids such as the Magic Tree House, A-Z Mysteries, Marvin Redpost, and more. We also have more quizzes promised from publishers, particularly Helbling and Cambridge.

Please contact me for login information if you would like to actually try some of the quizzes.

If you would like to use the site with your classes, the next step would be create an account on the moodlereader.org site and then get in touch with me again. You can have your own course page, free of charge on the site, with the theme and logo matching those of your school's own webpage. Just let me know the URL of a webpage that I can imitate in order to create it.

Cheers,
Tom Robb
