Annotated Bibliography of Works on Extensive Reading in a Second Language now on the ERF site!

After receiving the approval of the ERF board, the Annotated Bibliography of Works on Extensive Reading in a Second Language, formerly housed on http://extensivereading.net has been moved to this site, becoming one of the official activities of the Extensive Reading Foundation.  The bibliography aims to include all published works concerning extensive reading, as it applies to learning a second language.  In order to make the bibliography as functional as possible, works that are purely derivative, or repeat information already available are not included.

The bibliography has its roots in a 1999 paper-based version by George Jacobs, Willy Renandya and Julian Bamford which contained 159 items.  Tom Robb then took the items and placed them in a database, which became available on the extensivereading.net site in 2002.  The database has been growing ever since, with approximately 450 entries, the earliest of which is Handschin, C. H. (1919).

If any readers discover relevant articles that are worthy of inclusion in the bibliography, please contact one of the archivists. The current list can be found at: http://erfoundation.org/bib/bibarchivists.html.
