ERF - 2008 LLL Candidates
|
Every year, the Extensive Reading Foundation recognizes the best new works of language learner literature in English. From books published in 2007, the ERF judges have selected twelve titles of particular merit—the finalists. The finalists were announced at the IATEFL Conference in Exeter, U.K. on April 8, 2008. From these twelve, the ERF will select one winner in each of four categories taking into account the votes and comments of students and teachers of English worldwide.
To encourage teachers and students to read and evaluate the books, the ERF has implemented a "Graded Reader Giveaway" in which two copies of each candidate title from participating publishers are placed in the hands of 10 classes around the world. See this link for more details.
All finalist books can be ordered online from the independent Cambridge International Book Centre. If you or your students read any of the books and feel that they are worthy of the LLL Award, vote for them at http://langconcepts.net/erf/poll2008.php. Voting closes on July 18, 2008.
The winning books will be announced on this site on August 31, 2008.
